A poetic performance inspired by music "Island of Dreams" – a story about the dreams of youth, freedom, and inner storms in the midst of the Baltic Sea.
ISLAND OF DREAMS – the last performance in the home hall!
A music-inspired performance "Island of Dreams" transports the viewer to a small island in the midst of the Baltic Sea, where the endless horizon and strict order keep the thoughts and feelings of the youth in constant turmoil. It is a story about the search – how to find your voice amidst the winds that both protect and constrain.
The heart of the performance is the poetic text by Andra Teede, intertwined with Estonian songs, creating a special atmosphere that opens the inner world of the characters and the hidden layers of the island. Music and words merge into a whole that leads the audience into a dreamlike yet tense theatrical world.
The director Maciej Podstawny (POL) is a well-respected figure of the new generation in theatre, known for his imaginative and powerful productions. His work combines an experimental theatrical language with a strong visual world, creating both poetic and apocalyptic moments on stage.
On stage appear Ott Kartau, Ülle Kaljuste (Estonian Drama Theatre), Marten Kuningas, and Maria Liive, bringing to the audience an emotional and musical story about identity, freedom, and inner boundaries.
