What happens when a legend is no longer a dusty tale, but a living force that breathes in rhythm with us? From the winds and salty mists of Saaremaa rises again Suur Tõll – a giant who protects his people, loves passionately, and confronts darkness.
„Suur Tõll“ is a visually enchanting and emotionally gripping performance that intertwines Estonian mythology with the modern world. On stage, two realities are born: the mythical Saaremaa, where Tõll, his faithful Piret, and the cunning Vanapagan act, and the present day, where the same characters search for their place and meaning. It is a story of strength and love, courage and betrayal, suffering and victory – in ancient legends and within ourselves.
In this performance, the intense play of the actors meets the poetic language of light and video, choreography, and music, creating an epic, almost cinematic experience. „Suur Tõll“ is not just a performance – it is a journey into the intersection of humanity and myth.
