Skywheel of Tallinn – a unique observation wheel in Europe lifts you 120 meters above sea level, providing a completely new perspective of the Tallinn skyline! Enjoy the mesmerizing view of the city, the sea, Lake Ülemiste and the airport with a group of up to six people.
The intelligent design of the observation wheel ensures world-class height, offering a view comparable to the world's largest observation wheels: the wheel itself has a diameter of 45 meters, which is complemented by an additional 35 meters from the shopping center's height and 40 meters from its location on Sossi Hill. Hence, the top height of the observation wheel is 120 meters above sea level, making it the second highest observation platform in Tallinn after the television tower.
At the same time, it features a unique technical solution in Europe – observation wheels have only been placed on building roofs in Taiwan and Japan so far. To ensure safety, the design of the observation wheel has been considered from the foundation of the building. Additionally, a 1500-ton concrete platform has been poured on the roof of the building, which balances the forces of the observation wheel and ensures stability.
The Skywheel of Tallinn features 27 weatherproof gondolas that offer a safe and comfortable experience year-round! In winter, the gondolas are equipped with heating and in summer with air conditioning. Each gondola can accommodate up to six people and allows for standing or sitting. Moreover, the gondola is accessible with a wheelchair and stroller.
