“Pink Glasses” – summer retro comedy under the Nõmme pines
Welcome to “Villa Pungerlasse” – a place where summer, humor, and a few eccentric characters meet! Based on Hugo Raudsepp's beloved play, the retro-style comedy “Pink Glasses” takes the audience into the life of a 1930s Estonian guesthouse, where events take unexpected and joyous turns.
At the center of the story is a former comedian who runs a guesthouse in a rural area. One summer, his first love arrives, whom he hasn't seen in 25 years – meanwhile, someone else is waiting alongside to become his wife. What happens when old love awakens again?
Director Allan Kress brings to the stage 12 actors, who will take the audience on a delightful and cheerful journey lasting 2 hours and 45 minutes (with two intermissions), filled with laughter, romance, and moments of recognition.
Performances take place only seven evenings in June in Tallinn, in the greenery of Nõmme, at Lauliku Lava. This is a special outdoor experience where you feel like you’re in the countryside, even though you’re still in the city.
Before the show and during the intermissions, you can enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of the Kultuurihoov: take a moment to relax, walk in nature, listen to the birds, or enjoy the selection at the buffet. It's not just theater; it’s a whole summer evening experience.
“Pink Glasses” is an ideal choice for anyone who appreciates good humor, a timeless story, and a delightful summer mood. Come with friends or a loved one and let yourself be taken to a world where life is a bit simpler, funnier, and... pinker.
