Jõematkad is a small tourism company focused on organizing canoe trips in Tartu city and its surroundings.
Canoe trip in Tartu is a great opportunity to switch off from the usual city rhythm for a few hours and get to know the 'Athens of Emajõgi' from a different angle.
On the sunset trip, the group will travel together under the guidance of an experienced guide through the nature along the edge of the city to Kvissental, where we will turn around and head back to Tartu. The end of the trip is planned for the sunset. No special skills or canoeing experience are required to participate in the trip. It is well suited for a romantic experience to invite your partner along.
Before setting out, the guide will provide a briefing based on the group’s experience. The wide-bottom canoes are stable and unlikely to tip over.
Information before going on the water:
- Water is wet and for safety reasons, it is essential to maintain a clear head. We do not take intoxicated people onto the water.
- Choose weather-appropriate clothing. Remember that, in addition to your clothes, you must also wear the life jacket provided by us.
- Pack your phone and/or any other electronics that you want to protect from moisture in a waterproof bag.
- It is better to leave preschool-age children and/or pets at home.
