DUETS
"Duets" is a fast-paced play in which four different couples find themselves in often comical and spicy situations. Actors Merle Palmiste and Raivo E. Tamm perform in four short stories: Blind Date, Secretary, Divorce and Weddings. We see anticipation-filled dates, unreturned and returned feelings, spirited breakups, and also a wedding party where the bride, getting married for the third time already, refuses to step out of the door. The production offers recognition, laughter and always the hope that the best is still ahead.
Peter Quilter is a contemporary English playwright whose works have been translated into 30 languages and performed all over the world, of course also on Broadway and in the West End. Six of his plays have been staged in Estonia, including the hugely popular "Snow Prison", which was performed at Komöödiateater as many as 150 times! "Brilliant!" has reached both the Eesti Draamateater and Vanemuine stage, and "Duets" was also brought out for the second time. The author has kept an eye on his play reaching the stage and wishes the production a long life.
