Welcome to “Villa Pungerlasse” – a place where summer, humor, and slightly quirky characters meet! Based on the beloved play by Hugo Raudsepp, the retro-styled comedy “Pink Glasses” takes the audience into the life of a 1930s Estonian guesthouse, where events take unexpected and amusing twists.
The story centers on a former comedian who runs a guesthouse in the countryside. One summer, his first love, whom he has not seen for 25 years, arrives there – meanwhile, someone else is waiting nearby to become his spouse. What happens when old love wakes up again?
Director Allan Kress brings to the stage 12 actors, who will lead the audience on a joyful and life-affirming journey lasting 2 hours and 45 minutes (with two intermissions), filled with humor, romance, and plenty of recognition.
Performances will take place only seven evenings in June in Tallinn, surrounded by the greenery of Nõmme, at Lauliku Lava. It is a special outdoor experience where you feel like you are in the countryside, even though you are still in the city.
Before the performance and during intermissions, you can enjoy the charming atmosphere of Kultuurihoov: take a break, walk in nature, listen to the birds, or enjoy the café's selection. This is not just theater; it’s a whole summer evening experience.
